Birds and Bees Baby |
In case you're wondering if I jumped the gun, choosing pink, yep, I sure did. But, mom thinks it's a girl, and I just have a vibe that it is, too. I've set it aside for quilting for when I get my Bernina back from service.
Meanwhile, I've had this jelly roll and yardage kicking around in the stash. I decided to just make something already. The collection is called Palazzo by Greta Lynn for Benartex. The fabric has a great feel to it.
Earmarked for the hubs |
And, off topic, but I'm going to rant a bit here. Last night while coming home from graveyard shift, our son was rear-ended by a drunk driver. He's OK, and his car is damaged but drivable. He was stopped at a red, and she hit the truck behind him doing 45mph, and the truck then hit him. And, if you're like me, and already livid at this imbecile's complete and utter stupidity, she'd called her mother who in turn shows up at the accident scene, also inebriated, and gets hauled off to jail with the daughter. We're counting our blessings that everyone was unhurt. But... seriously?!?!
Best,
Heather

Heather....I'm in the same mood of sewing. I'm jelly roll sewing this week. Do you have a link to your pattern by chance??? I found a quick one of MOda I'm using for one jelly roll that will turn into two baby quilts...but have another jelly roll that will be a lap quilt for me. :)
ReplyDeleteDRUNK DRIVERS....I won't begin my rant! LOL!! Thank goodness your son is okay. :)
Glad to hear that everyone was ok. Very nice quilt top! Hope you have a great day
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your son was okay. Glad to hear they hauled both mom and daughter off...Think they need stricter DD laws.
ReplyDeleteYour baby quilt is sweet! I like the colors in the JR.
